Secretary's Report

President's Report

In the first the two and half months we have endeavored to keep the organizational and educational activities at per. We have held two Executive Committee Meetings  and one Extra Ordinary General Body Meeting were various issues regarding Subscriptions, IJD, Membership, Accounts and DERMACON 2012 etc. were discussed and decisions taken. We also observed Vitiligo Day and organized our Monthly Clinical Meetings regularly. Our IT PAN Card has been received, our IJD is moving fast towards being listed in Pubmed and we have decided to bid for DERMACON 2012 in Kolkata.

Ordinary Membership has been withdrawn and only Life Members and Provisional Life Members will remain. I hereby apologize for being unable to written the Memberships of those senior members who were unable to meet the desired criteria as laid down by the Central Body.

A lot more needs to be done. I expect and need your active participation in our WB State Branch activities.

I, Dr.Partha Sarathi Sen took charge as the President of IADVL, West Bengal from Dr.Manabrata Majumdar on 1.04.09. I would like to inform you that during my reign over these 4 months, I have experienced excellent participation from my colleagues during Executive council meetings which represent sheer zeal and enthusiasm of Dermatologists' pan West Bengal.

We are trying to associate ourselves with a number of constructive discussions and I would take great pleasure in mentioning the seminar on "Vitiligo Day" (19th May) and the scheduled monthly Clinical meetings in various Medical Colleges' and Institutions which have been extremely successful.

The IJD issues have been widely accepted and well organized. I sincerely hope that it would achieve a gamut of acclamation here at the domestic level and  abroad in the future.

The State conference CUTICON 09 is in place, scheduled to be held on 21-22 November at Kolkata.

I hope I have proved my candidature at par with the expectations of my fellow members till date and will be able to complete my tenure setting highest standards.
